It is not by accident that we have the joy of meeting you. So, above all else we express Christ's love to you with genuine, heartfelt warmth. We're eager to know you, and we're excited to share with you the marvelous ways God is working in our church. Dr. Margie Garrett found salvation in Jesus Christ in October, 1981.  She has served in ministry since 1982, at that time being appointed as Youth Leader for her home church, Emmanuel Temple Apostolic Church, (then pastored by the late honorable District Elder Jerry Hubbard), located in Vallejo, Ca. During this period, she held various offices and served in other capacities within Churches, Councils and Area Districts.  

In, 1984 she married Minister Michael J. Garrett and relocated to southern California where she has resided since. In June 1987 at the leading of the Lord they began looking for a home in the Inland Empire area and also sought a location in which they could begin ministry.  They were welcomed into the home of her beloved uncle Pat and aunt Glenna Elliott, where they were able to begin Bible Study and prayer once a week, as they continued to travel between the two cities. The first three souls were brought into the kingdom during this time. In December 1987 they moved from Los Angeles to the Inland Empire with the blessing of their pastor the late, Bishop William L. Smith to start Bethlehem Temple Community Church. Minister Garrett faithfully supported and served with her husband, Bishop Garrett and BTCC. Minister Garrett also served and ministered in several positions of the CNHDC (California-Nevada-Hawaii- District Council), later known as the CDC (California District Council).

In July 2004, then Minister Margie Garrett received her National Credentials from the California District Council, of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, as a licensed Evangelist.  She also received her Master’s in Biblical Studies Degree, in 2004, from Ministerial Training Institute of Inglewood, California.  She continued her studies to receive her Doctor of Theology Degree, at Living Waters Theological University.  She has served on staff of Living Waters Theological University as Professor for many years teaching courses such as: The Life of Christ, Dimensions of Prayer, Foundations in Faith, and Revelation.

In March of 2018 Dr. Garrett was officially installed as Pastor of Bethlehem Temple Community Church. She continues in her studies of the doctrines of the Bible to fulfill her heart’s desire to prepare the people of God to attain excellence in their life.  Her personal goal as pastor is to advance in her calling, quite simply by teaching, preaching, leadership mentoring and coaching, writing, and helping those in our community that God allows us to touch through outreach ministry.  She is the proud mother of seven children (all of her children serve in ministry with her in various capacities), and thirteen grand-children.
